2DayCircus on T.V!!!!!!!

We were recently spotted in an episode of ABC's Scoundrels.(Link to Episode) About two minutes in, a young girl with brown hair enters the room. She is wearing the 21st Century Hoody Dress. She wears it for a couple scenes... We here at 2DayCircus are extremely happy to have aired on a national TV show. Our little line is growing and gathering lots of recognition along the way.

New York City

Recently I went to The City... NYC. This was my 3rd time venturing into the city, and my first representing 2DayCircus... It ended up being a great research trip.
The Lower East Side(see bottom two pics) is the wrong place to find a compatible boutique. It is the headquarters for almost every large fashion brand.
However Brooklyn is definitely the place to be. Amazing Street art everywhere, (see top two pics) great street food, and a very young vibe to the borough. I met some amazing artists, as well as the owner of Kicking n Screaming accessories. It is a fellow start-up brand still, making a name for itself. Overall Brooklyn was the highlight of my trip, and looking forward to a return...

An interview with Lance Ryan McGoldrick

I recently did an interview with Sean Tabone of Jin Joint Clothing. We do the screen-print for his line. He is a great guy with a pure love of rollerblading, and wants to support it.
This interview is taken from the JinJoint.com

Another look at how it's done.

by sean@jinjoint.com

An interview with Lance McGoldrick.

Sean - First, tell me a little bit about 2 Day Circus.

Lance - We are an Artists Collaborative producing quality screen printing, clothing, and Art.

Sean - How long have you been in Business and where are you located?

Lance - We've had the shop going for about a year now... And we are based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Sean - Tell me a little about your skating. What kind of obstacles do you like to hit? What keeps you motivated?

Lance - Getting older has really changed the way I skate. I'd say it's gone more towards the creative side. trying to find a way to skate almost anything anywhere. The pure love of Rollerblading is why I've been skating for 15+years.

Sean - How do you feel about the way skating has evolved over that same 15 year period?

Lance - Well the upside is the level of skating is AMAZING. The sport has progressed so far from when I started. People are taking style and stunts to a whole other level. But the downside is they are not rewarded or at least given health insurance for dedicating their life to the sport.

Sean - What about the way business' are run? It seems like there is a new level of professionalism with each new company that's come out recently. Even companies that have been around a while are really starting to take things to the next level.

Lance - Definitely, I love that Skater run companies are becoming the norm. Those are the companies I support. And Skater owned shops too!

Sean - Thanks for leading me into my next question. You kind of answered it, but can you elaborate a little more? Do truly skater-owned companies matter or is it just a marketing scheme? Let's face it, "Skater-Owned" is nothing new.

Lance - I remember as a kid like YooHoo, PowerBar and other weird companies sponsoring rollerblading, where are they now? Most Skater run companies truly support rollerblading. So if we want to continue as a sport regardless of the hype around our sport we need to support ourselves first.

Sean - How do you feel about the way Jin Joint does things? We only use designers that skate and obviously we get our prints done at a skater run print shop. Chris Tinsley designed the shirts you're working on now. Do you think it takes a skater to design a graphic that can capture the image another skater is looking for?

Lance - All Rollerbladers have that common bond. We look at the world in a different way, so it would only make sense that skaters are more attracted to that energy. There are some amazing artists in our sport too.

Sean - Definitely. One more quick question. Where did the name 2 Day Circus come from?

Lance - My buddy Cletus who does our web and photography work mentioned it. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it. And we're doing screen-printing and our own clothing line so then 2DayCircus was born...I felt it was also easy to remember too.

Sean - Nice. I think unique names are important too. It shows a certain level of personality and I think it adds a lot to a company in the long run. Well, thanks for your time with this interview and thanks again for such high quality prints. Feel free to give thanks to any of your friends or anyone else you feel needs some praise.

Lance - Well thank you,Thanks to all the rollerbladers out there still keeping it alive. Peace and Love form the Wild West...
